Пам'ятайте, у кожного з вас є два сенатори і один конгресмен, які вас представляють,треба донести до них точку зору. Початок тексту я позичив у листі Олексія Цвєткова, решту дописав сам. Якщо моя англійська для вас звучить криво, feel free to edit.
Текст листа зменшеним фонтом (кому і куди писати зазначено нижче, під текстом) :
Dear Senator / Congressman (Congresswoman) ПРІЗВИЩЕ:
As you probably know, Russia has violated the territorial integrity of the sovereign state of Ukraine. While understanding that the means to punish this crime, which are at the disposal of the USA, are limited, I urge you to initiate a legislation that would freeze any assets linked to the persons involved, including all members of Russian government and Presidential Administration, in case such assets are discovered within our borders, until such time when Russia completely abides by international rules and norms. Immediate and firm sanctions against few persons who represent the criminal regime can save lives by preventing military stand off and upholding international law.
Please note that by allowing Russian military aggression against Ukraine to continue unstopped, the word and the US in particular strongly undermine the concept of nuclear non-proliferation by sending a distinct message to other countries to seek and never renounce nuclear weapons. When in 1994 Ukraine gave up its nuclear arsenal, Russia and the US were among those who assured sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Russia reneged on its obligations by its aggressive actions of the last days. Please, do not let the US and its allies to neglect their obligations in such serious matters.
